Can we bring our Children?

As much as we love your little ones, this is an adults only celebration.

What flights should I book?

We suggest that you arrive no later than 9:00 AM on Friday September 5th as it’s a long trek from YVR to Egmont, BC.

If you’re flying out on Sunday September 7th, we recommend not booking a flight out of YVR any earlier than 4pm. We highly recommend making a ferry reservation to leave the sunshine coast on the morning of the 7th if you are driving to give yourself enough time to get back to the airport.

How long does it take to get from YVR to Egmont, BC?

YVR to Horseshoe Bay ~1 hour drive

Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal to Langdale Ferry Terminal ~40 min ferry ride

Langdale Ferry Terminal to Egmont ~1.5 hour drive

Total travel time from YVR to WCWL is ~4 hours (including the 30 min pre ferry wait time)

Check out the Things to Do page on the WCWL website. There’s hiking, kayaking, Jet skiing, Zodiac adventures and more!

If you need a place to stop for lunch when driving up, our favourite restaurants are Smitty’s Oyster House in Gibsons or the Wobbly Canoe in Sechelt.

You can choose to pay all up-front or just a reservation fee $15 CAD

Check your email to make sure it was successful!

We would recommend reserving one on the way back on September 7 as well!

What if the Ferry Reservations are Sold Out?

Firstly, email Jennifer & Mike to let us know – maybe we can find someone for you to tag along with!

Secondly, consider the walk-on option

Or, you can always drive to the ferry ~2 hours earlier than the sailing you’re targeting – BC Ferries always leaves a certain % of each sailing for drive-up passengers. Just be prepared to wait a sailing or two!

All rooms at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge and BackEddy Marina and Resort have been blocked by us for you to book. To book your WCWL room, add room type to cart and “check out” OR call Back Eddy to book over the phone 1.604.883.2298. If all accommodation is booked, please call us and we have other accommodation options available.
