Our story began in 2017 in a small office at the Whistler Blackcomb Finance department. What started as daily banter and laughs between the dreaded Monday meetings and excel spreadsheets, quickly grew into something more. It didn’t take long for us to swap the office chairs for ski lifts and accounting jargon for a friendly debate: Skis vs Snowboards.
Spoiler alert – the debate is still ongoing but love always wins.
Over the next eight years, what was once playful flirtation over ski & snowboard dates, weekend camping trips and apres-ski shots, blossomed into a deep love story, full of shared dreams, endless mountain adventures and countless memories. Our mutual passion to live life to the fullest has shown us that being best friends makes conquering all that life throws at you a walk in the park, or in ski terms cruising down a green run.
We’ve conquered Heli skiing, living & working from home during covid, the occasional broken bone, multiple job changes, and now we’re gearing up for our biggest adventure yet: saying “I do.” We feel so lucky to have found each other and go from no friends on a pow day, to chairlift partners for life. We can’t wait to share our special day and boogie on the dance floor with all of you!
The sunshine coast is incredibly beautiful, and we can’t wait to get married at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge where the ocean, forests and mountains will be the backdrop of our special day. We know it’s a trip for most of you, so we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible. It is very remote, so please plan accordingly and check out our helpful links that show the 2 ways to travel here, by car & ferry or float plane.
We have reserved the entire West Coast Wilderness Lodge and Backeddy Resort & Marina for all our guests to stay within walking distance of all weekend events. Please read carefully below as both resorts have different booking instructions.

Located next door to the WCWL at a 6 minute walk, is the Backeddy Resort & Marina. It offers an assortment of rooms, cabins & geodesic glamping domes.

We cannot wait to celebrate the most important weekend of our lives with the people who mean the most to us! Not only is this a celebration of our love, but a secret ploy to convince all our Ontario friends and family to move out west and join us in beautiful BC. We know it’s a trip for most of you, so we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible.
Travel to Egmont, BC
Take the day to leisurely make your way via ferry from Vancouver to Egmont, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
You must make a ferry reservation if you plan to drive a vehicle to Egmont.

HOTEL CHECK IN
Check-in at the WCWL and Backeddy Inn begins at 15:30
WELCOME BEACH BBQ
Get settled and join us on the WCWL lawn at 17:30 for a beach BBQ. We’ll end the night with a bonfire and s’mores.
Dress Code: Garden Party/Smart Casual
BREAKFAST
Breakfast will be served at the WCWL for all guests from 7:30-10:30am.
Guests can use the morning and afternoon to explore the surrounding areas or book excursions through the Egmont Adventure Centre, located onsite. Tours and activities start around 10am and finish around 2pm.
Lunch is on your own schedule. The WCWL dining room will be closed, but Backeddy has a pub.
WEDDING CEREMONY
Our wedding Ceremony will take place at the WCWL on the deck. Please arrive no later than 15:45
Dress Code: Formal/Black Tie Optional
Afterwards, eat, drink and be merry with us at the Cocktail Hour, Reception, and Dancefloor at the WCWL.
